| Brightleaf Development Co. LLC holds a North Carolina unlimited General Contractors license and is owned and operated by its two managing partners, Bernard and Judy Malloy.
The Malloys bring over thirty years of experience to Brightleaf Development. Bernard has orchestrated and supervised many projects, both large and small, including all phases of land development, office building construction and fine custom homes of all sizes. His uncompromising drive for quality workmanship and thoughtful construction is evident at all stages of his projects. His ability to listen and understand helps create an atmosphere conducive with fulfilling clients' high expectations.
Judy Malloy's extensive background in accounting, marketing and computing enables her to skillfully supervise Brightleaf Development's financial and administrative side. She understands the nuances of the sometimes intricate financial needs of the building industry, as well as the need for state-of-the-art communications through the use of e-mail, digital photos, etc.
Brightleaf's employees greatly enhance our team approach to each project. Our clients can feel confident that at each stage, there is a knowledgeable and capable manager overseeing the process.
Mike Cook, a job supervisor with over twenty-five years experience in the building industry, is a Journeyman Carpenter and Trim Specialist. He skillfully supervises sub-contractors, while easily relating and listening to the needs of our clients. He brings his "Yankee" ingenuity and craftsmanship to his new home in North Carolina.
Cory Malloy utilizes his business management background, anticipating potential problems before they occur, coordinating solutions, organizing job meetings and overseeing change orders. Cory also keeps Brightleaf current with innovative building products and technologies (structured wiring, lighting, structural components, vapor control, etc.).
Brightleaf Development is proud of our many years of experience in working with Architects, with a history of strong relationships of trust and mutual respect. Often we're invited to be the General Contractor on the team and develop a negotiated contract with the client.
